Very Dark Roasts
A dark version of our organic, fair-trade blend
(hearty Nicaraguan, mild Mexican, and slightly sharper Guatemalan
beans at a variety of roasts). The Simply tastes familiar to many
people because so many of the available beans on the market come
from the Central/South American region. However, it lacks the sweetness
associated with Indonesian beans and the zest of African coffee.
Deep & spicy: tasty, zingy Red Sea offset with mild, full-bodied
beans from Guatemala and Nicaragua.

Full-bodied, rich, and hearty. One of our most popular blends. 100% organic and fairly traded.

A darker version of Oso's original Selkirk Blend (that's 1/3 zesty
African, 1/3 smooth Indonesian, and 1/3 full-bodied Central/ South
American). Well-rounded with an Ethiopian edge. 100% organic and fairly traded.
A Note on Espresso Beans
People often ask us for a specific espresso blend. We do
offer The Espresso Blend, but you can make espresso
with any type of roast or blend. It's the brewing method—hot water
forced through very finely ground beans—that creates thick,
concentrated espresso coffee. On the West Coast of North America,
people generally prefer dark-roasted beans for espresso; in Eastern
North America, and also in many European countries, lighter roasts
are more common. We suggest using your favourite beans, whether
they're light, dark, or in the middle.
Very dark and loud with a hint of spiciness. Full-bodied Central American, a
handful of spicy Ethiopian, and a snicker of crisp,
light, Centrals.
The Prince & the Princess are equally dark. 100% organic and fairly traded.
Very dark, but sweeter and smoother than the Prince. Full-bodied
Colombian Supremo and sweet, yummy Sulawesi. Fairly traded.
